Toy Catalogues

Whilst mail order catalogues from big toy companies used to be all the rage, you don't find nearly as many these days. Many suppliers just don't put their catalogue into a printed format. Instead, they rely on their website to promote their products - and as well as cutting costs, this obviously has the added advantage of being very easily updated.

Other companies like Hornby, Scalextric and Airfix have always charged consumers for their latest catalogue, and by producing it in a glossy brochure format are able to cover the printing costs by charging a reasonable price for it – there’s also a certain element of collectability in these catalogues, and early versions of some of them can command quite high prices at auctions.

We’ve collated together a number of companies that produce consumer catalogues in a variety of different formats, and we’ve detailed some of them below.
