This tough and funky bright orange ball with its many different buttons to press offers hours of fascination for babies and toddlers, with animal sounds, music and flashing lights. The battery-powered ball moves randomly, but won’t go far, encouraging babies who are on the move to crawl after it. It plays a range of melodies including “Oh Susannah” and releases phrases linked to actions such as rolling. After 20 seconds without input, the ball turns itself off – a practical, sensible feature. It takes three AA batteries.
