Greedy Gorilla, What’s Rubbish?, Busy Little Bees And Piggy in the Middle Board Games
Orchard Toys

Main Features:
These robust and colourful board games are designed to help children appreciate aspects of everyday life such as healthy eating, recycling and managing money. The games are made of sturdy cardboard, well packaged and suitable for small groups or families. The gorilla in Greedy Gorilla burps when fed an item of junk food – a feature which most children found irresistibly funny!

Benefits:
Our testers found the games an ideal length in relation to the attention span of young children, making them enjoyable to play. Lamara, nine, was able to help Talon, who is three, play the game and our testers all felt that these games are ideal for encouraging social skills such as learning how to lose (and win) graciously. Six-year-old Courtney was delighted to be able to get the game she had chosen ready all by herself and explain the rules to her mum! “A rare example of games which manage to be fun as well as educational,” one tester commented.

Skills:
Hand-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills, problem solving, observation, concentration, mathematical thinking, communication skills, social interaction listening.

* * * * - Goog Game

Comment by Karina, 11th November 2010

My little boy of 4 still loves it and he has had it since 3. It doesn't come out much these days but when it does, him and his friend like it. It's a good game to show kids about good and bad food. Good food goes on the menu and bad food goes in the gorilla's mouth and he burps. The kids then laugh. They do get distracted though as they want to put all the food in the mouth just to hear the gorilla burp.

My four year old daughter loved this game - It helps with counting, coordinating and matching.
