With toy makers falling over themselves to assure parents that their products are educational, it is great to find the Toys4Boys range from Cheatwell Games living up to the ideal by offering a toy that is not only great fun to assemble and use – but really is rocket science!
This amazing new twist on one of the most exciting traditional toys for boys – the rocket ship – not only introduces children to some fundamental concepts of physics; it also gives them the unique thrill of seeing their H20-propelled rocket shoot up into the sky, to distances of up to 100 feet.
The rocket set includes a custom-made pressure chamber, hardwearing and adjustable launch pad, remote-controlled release cable – and the rocket itself, brightly-coloured and satisfyingly futuristic; complete with soft-moulded nose and tail fins for a safe landing! The rocket launches when air pressure forces water through its jet nozzle.
Although the rocket’s water-based propulsion system means that it is safe, with no chemicals or combustion, adult supervision is required to guarantee that lift-off takes place without a hitch. This adds to the fun for dads and their sons alike, with the “launch controller” directing his “assistant” and ensuring a successful rocket mission.
