Hot on the success of the most publicised toy of Christmas 2009, Zhu Zhu Pets are soon to be reincarnated as digital hamsters in a video game produced for the Nintendo DS. Fans of the Zhu Zhu Hamsters can expect the game to have a nice balance between care-taking and adventure. A clever mix of arcade action and nuturing will certainly be the game's main draw and we can't wait to get our hands on it!
The Zhu Zhu Pets game is a collaboration between Nintendo, Activision, GameMill and Cepia - and if it gets even a tenth of the interest that the real-life Zhu Zhu Hamsters received then it is going to be a big hit. The game allows you win medals, unlock special races and challenge your friends in the Rumble Arenas. As well as allowing you to race with multiple players, enter knock-out competitions and try your skills on many different tracks, this Nintendo DS game is sure to keep fans of the Zhu Zhu Hamsters entertained for hours.
A Nintendo DS Zhu Zhu Hamsters video game has been described by the marketers at Cepia as being a "natural fit in product evolution". Judging by this comment, it seems pretty likely that the now famous brand will move into some more toy and game genres before those pesky hamsters give up the ghost!
Scheduled for a US release on March 23, 2010, the Nintendo Zhu Zhu Pets game is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
