John Crane's Branching Out Collection
Little Cottage Dolls House Toy Review
With such a wide range of dolls houses on the traditional toys market, it can be confusing, to say the least, when trying to pick out a suitable one as a “starter” gift for a young girl. Just with buying a real house, you have to look at furnished or unfurnished options, for a start!
The delightful wooden dolls house cottage from the John Crane Branching Out collection makes the perfect introduction to this fascinating world of play. The house is fully furnished with removable furniture – the kitchen features a sink, a shelf unit, a stove, cooker and fridge, the living room includes a dining table with two chairs, a coffee table and two armchairs, plus a television on its own little stand.
The ‘mum and dad’ figures that come with the house can sleep soundly in their double bed, complete with bedding and pillows, alongside a wardrobe, dresser and stool. The bathroom features a sink with mirror, shower unit with curtain and toilet, while the outside isn’t neglected either – the garden has a bench, potted plants with watering can and an apple tree.
Everything in the Little Cottage Dolls House can be positioned and repositioned to the child’s satisfaction and every room is easy to access, with open walls and a partly opened roof. Best of all, everything is beautifully detailed and made from top-quality rubberwood, from sustainable sources.
