Slug in a Jug is a classic children's game from Orchard Toys, and is actually a combination of three great fun rhyming word games. Containing 48 rhyming picture cards, the object of Slug in a Jug is to collect as many rhyming cards as possible. The eventual winner is the person with the most points which are calculated by the number of rhyming cards they hold.
In two other variations, Rhyming Pairs and Find the Rhyme use the same cards to play the game with slightly different rules. Slug in a Jug is a great game at helping children develop their literacy and language skills and also links in with National Curriculum English.
