Bigjigs Sort Box Toy Review
Wooden toys by design are among the most durable of all. They stand the test of time and bring back fond memories of early childhood. Bigjigs understand this and have created many different types of toys over the years including magnetic pattern blocks sets, floor puzzles, doll houses and toy trucks. There are many others products in the process of development.
Wooden toys help children develop their cognitive and fine motor skills. Playing and pretending have been shown to enhance a childs thinking and processing. With this in mind wooden toys come in all shapes and sizes. Shape sorters have long been firm favourites, allowing children to increase their recall and recognition skills without even realising because they are having such fun. This is particularly true of the Sort Box from Big Jigs who have produced a truly traditional favourite.
This wooden box has a removeable lid which has differently shaped holes and a selection of brightly coloured shapes to fit through them. The Sort Box is specifically designed to develop and imnprove shape and colour recognition and is perfect for hand to eye coordination.
The box measures 16 cm square and is 10 cm tall. It contains the following pieces:
2 x yellow triangles
2 x purple cylinders
2 x green rectangles
2 x blue half cylinders
2 x red cubes
The Sort Box is suitable for all ages but is best suited for children of about 2 years old.
