Commissioned by Playhouse Disney in the United States and Cbeebies in the United Kingdom, Tinga Tinga Tales is produced by the independent company Tiger Aspect Productions in association with Homeboyz Entertainment. Bandai have produced toys to accompany the show - and as one of the six main characters, the plush Hippo toys are among our personal favourites.

Hippo and Tickbird are the show's female stars and Hippo's dedicated episode is called “Why Hippo has no hair”. As kids will find out, she has no hair due to getting set on fire by a spark from the campfire and having to run and jump into the water hole to put it out! This can many other stories can be reenacted by children with the various soft toys that will be available from Tinga Tinga Tales.

Voiced by Johnnie Fiori, Hippo is undoubtedly one of the show's most popular characters and that's why we think the plush Hippo toys will be a hit with young fans! We've had a sneak preview of both the small beanie plush and the larger Hippo plush with sound and can confirm that they are both stunning.
