Why does Lion roar? This is one of the questions being asked by the CBeebies show, Tinga Tinga Tales. The 52-episode series has been made by Tiger Aspect Productions in Nairobi using local artists and musicians. We're particularly excited about seeing the new Lion plush toys that are produced by Bandai and which come in either a small beanie plush or a much larger plush with inbuilt sounds.
As any young fan of Tinga Tinga Tales will know, once upon a time Lion didn't have a roar. He had to pluck up enough courage to visit the Great Cave of Tinga Tinga and roar into it and hear his echo back. Once he did though, there was no looking back and now he really is the king of Tinga Tinga.
With a target market of 4-6 year old children, there will be many licensed products to accompany the show - and we think that the lion plush toys will be some of the most popular of the range. Oh, and if your little one is a fan of lions, they might like Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.
