Voiced by an 8-year old Kenyan boy called Eugene Muchiri, Monkey has been described by Claudia Lloyd, the head of animation at Tiger Aspect, as "our little hero" - and the very fact that this cheeky monkey introduces and ends every episode means that he looks set to be one of the most loved characters in whole show.
The Upside-Down Monkey toy includes an in-built sensor that cleverly recognises Monkey's orientation (i.e. up or down). This in turn, enables him to respond differently, depending on that orientation. Monkey's feet, hands and tail can grip and hold onto all kinds of things around the house - whether that be a shelf, computer or anything else you can attach him to!
The toy complements the show's ongoing theme of transformation nicely - as Monkey's very own episode will ask the question: "Why does Monkey swings from trees?" Obviously fans of the show will be able to immediately answer "to escape the 'snap snap' of Crocodile!"... but this Upside-Down Monkey toy will also allow fans of Tinga Tinga Tales to act out this story for hours on end, long after Monkey's episode has finished.
