As the slowest creature in the CBeebies series Tinga Tinga Tales, Tortoise's lack of speed is more than made up for by his age and experience. This in turn brings him great knowledge and wisdom which helps him to solve many problems... providing he gets there in time!
According to Tinga Tinga Tales, Tortoise was once quite fast and agile. It is only because the birds plucked off his feathers after his sneeky visit to a Feast in the Heavens that he decided to take things at a slower pace.
Leading toy maker Bandai are making Tinga Tinga Tales toys of all the main characters which apart from Tortoise includes his best friend Elephant as well as Monkey, Lion, Hippo and Tickbird. Although the Tortoise 15cm plush and 25cm plush with sound won't be released in the initial wave of products, you can expect to see some plush Tortoise toys in the second wave.
