Originally created in Missouri in the USA in 1998, Build-A-Bear Workshop has grown from humble beginnings to a global franchise in an ever growing number of countries. An expanding network of Build-A-Bear Workshops in the UK brings the unique teddy bear buying experience closer to more families than ever before.
From the moment a child is introduced to his or her very own Bear Builder, the magic begins. Starting by selecting the size, colour and style of bear they would like, kids can then personalise their new friend every step of the way. They can add personalised voice messages, choose a heart, select the softness of the stuffing, and then watch in amazement as their bear is stitched up. That’s not the end of the process as kids can name and dress their bear in a choice of outfits before they take it home.
Thanks to the power of the internet, it’s also easy to build your perfect bear at home! The options selection process works in exactly the same way as in store, and kids can even record their own message or select one of the pre-made recordings. Adding clothes or accessories to the bear is easy too, and in no time that special new friend will be delivered straight to your door.
