The Ambleside Toy Shop, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, is popular with both locals and tourists. Customers will find a wide range of traditional and original toys, games and gifts for all ages. There are things that bring back memories and other things that customers may never knew existed!
Although there is an emphasis on wooden toys at reasonable prices, there are also plenty of soft toys, teddy bear clothing from the Bear Mill, mobiles and other things to decorate a nursery or bedroom. For those with creative urges, there are plenty of things to do and make, from Meccano to moving wooden models to glass and wooden beads. The shop opened in June 2008 and its website began taking orders a year later.
Customers can order online or by phone. Not everything in the shop is on the website, so if visitors are ever passing through Ambleside, they are welcome to go and have a look.
