This High Street retailer was founded by Terence Conran in 1964 - and is now most famous for it's range of design-led home furnishing products. Habitat's toy department stocks an equally engaging selection of small toys - many of which have unusual or unique design themes.
Wood is used as a preferred material for many of the construction toys in the Habitat Toy Department - and there are various well-known vehicles too - such as an ambulance, fire engine, car, a Bangkok Tuk Tuk as well and an Indian truck. Globo is a kid’s globe complete with pens for colouring in all the countries, and there are also some musical instruments such as drums, maracas and tambourines.
An exclusive item to Habitat Toys is a house-shaped money box, painted entirely in black that can be drawn on with chalk – easy to rub off and re-apply. Beautifully lined kids tents with Aisha or skytrain patterns, large plastic dinosaurs, a rock star dress up costume and a gigantic large stripy soft toy are just a few more of the unusual toys sold by Habitat.
The artistic kids are also well catered for - with a crayon & paint set, toolkit and workbench, bead kit and a set of mini house shaped building blocks.
Habitat Toys is a London toy shop that specialises in baby gifts.
