The Toy Village was created in 2006 by two busy mums with seven children between them. They wanted to add something more to toy shopping rather than trailing fed up children along the High Street, especially at Christmas and birthday times. The demand and feedback from the small toy parties they started within peoples homes and schools was fantastic, so in early 2008 they launched "The Toy Village".
The company's ranges have steadily grown and continue to do so every month. With all their children they have probably tried every toy possible and know what really lasts, as well as what captures and engages a child’s imagination. With this in mind, they have sourced products that their own children have enjoyed or they have had the item recommended to them by another parent or carer.
The range features toys from birth to preschool and beyond. They specialise in traditional wooden toys, craft and educational items and a large selection of pocket money toys which are still rapidly expanding. The emphasis is on good value for money but still retaining quality and safety. Both owners have had careers with well known High Street stores, and understand how and what makes a good shopping event. They pride themselves on mum-to-mum knowledge, experience and good old fashioned customer service.
