According to the Bognor Regis Observer, the town's first toy shop was founded in 1823 when James Binstead sold toys and other gifts on the part of the seafront that the Royal Hotel now occupies. Things have certainly changed significantly since then - and Bognor Regis has seen several toy shops come and go.
Although keen toy shoppers undoubtedly don't have as much choice as they once did, 2U Toys is based in Bognor Regis and sells some inspirational wooden toys that have a strong emphasis on discovery and learning.
