First published in September 2011, Toy World magazine promised to deliver a “fresh and exciting magazine which everyone connected to the toy trade will want to read.”
Headed by the toy publishing veteran, John Baulch, the magazine provides useful insights into toy company news as well as incisive commentary on the state of the toy industry.
It includes a healthy mix of independent contributors, including Toy Shop UK’s monthly survey of its membership of independent toy and nursery retailers. Focussing on points of interest or concern to the independent toy trade, the survey gives a welcome opportunity for these business owners to air their opinions to a large audience of Toy World magazine readers.

Apart from the monthly print edition, Toy World has a comprehensive website with regular toy industry news updates, as well as a witty and observational blog from John. By going head to head with the two well established industry competitors, Toy World aims to offer an alternative format to these publishing giants, whilst still delivering all the news and views of retailers, suppliers and manufacturers within the toy industry.
