Children's Furniture

There is a growing trend for kid’s bedrooms to be filled with coordinated furniture. Some themes start with cots, chests of drawers and wardrobes, which can all be expanded as the child grows. Beds have seen some of the biggest changes in designs. Boys can have them decorated and built to look like space ships, castles or racing cars.

Girls usually prefer ones based on princesses, country cottages or even Barbie themes. All of these fixtures can be complemented by matching wall paper, curtains, bedding and light fittings. Specially built dining chairs with longer legs can be purchased when the highchair has been outgrown.

Another trend has seen the development of inflatable chairs and sofas which are all made in smaller sizes. Matching desks and chairs are popular items, especially when homework beckons! Many items are for use outside the house. Furniture such as picnic tables, benches and chairs can all be bought “kids size”, and are ideal for use at summer barbecues.
