In recent years, there has been a growing trend for kids bedrooms to be filled with co-ordinated children’s furniture. Some themes start with cots, chests of drawers and wardrobes, which can all be expanded as the child grows.

Beds are part of kids furniture which has seen some of the biggest changes in designs. Boys can have beds decorated and built to look like space ships, castles or racing cars, and the girls can have ones based on princesses, country cottages or even Barbie themes.

All of this kids furniture can be complemented by matching wall paper, curtains, bedding and even light fittings. Specially built dining chairs with longer legs can be purchased when the highchair has been outgrown. Another trend has seen the development of inflatable chairs and sofas which are all made in smaller sizes.

Matching desks and chairs are popular items of children’s furniture and items for use outside the house are picnic tables, benches and chairs which can all be bought “kids size”, and are ideal for use at garden barbecues in the summer.
