Spread throughout the UK, toy libraries are a great place for families to borrow a selected toy, often for free, but occasionally for a nominal charge. Some of the libraries also offer play sessions and a place for parents or carers to have regular meetings.
Most of them will be members of the National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries and although there are about 1000 libraries in the UK, we can only list a few here. You can find out more about toy libraries in your area by calling 020 7255 4600.
Many different types of toys can be borrowed, and although they will vary from group to group, most of them will include baby toys, construction toys, activity toys, and toys to fire the imagination.
