What more iconic toy can there be than the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe car? Created in 1979 and often copied by other manufacturers, this version has stood the test of time - the red and yellow car is as relevant now as it was then. During the 1990s it often outsold real car models like the Honda Accord, whilst its 360⁰ swivel front wheels make it extremely manoeuvrable for little children in the tightest of spaces.

A refreshed design was introduced in 2009 to celebrate 30 continuous years of Cozy Coupe car production, with slightly thicker door pillars as well as a higher seat back and room to store a couple of drinks bottles behind it. Another clever idea was to provide a slot in the rear of the roof which parents can use as a handle to help steer the Cozy Coupe car if the child wants a rest by using the removable floor plate.

Other features on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe include an opening and closing petrol cap, a realistic ignition switch for starting the ‘engine’ and of course the wide opening side door for fast entry or exit! Ideal for kids aged 18 months and up, the Cozy Coupe is one of the world’s favourite ‘first’ cars for junior members of the family.

Little Tikes cars and other vehicles are also available for younger drivers. The Cozy Coupe is made in a black and white version known as the Tikes Patrol Police Car, and a pink and blue girlie version is called Princess Cozy Coupe. For something a little larger, older children can try the Grand Coupe with a range of extra features. Slightly different variations by Little Tikes include a Spray & Rescue Fire Truck, and even a Pick Up Truck version with a real folding tailgate.
