LeapFrog Epic joins a range of kid’s electronic devices that allows safe browsing whilst at the same time providing a range of games and other activities. Using the Android 4.4 operating system, the Epic features a 7” LCD touch screen as well as front and rear cameras with video capability and 16GB of expandable memory.
By accessing LeapFrog’s massive library of child-specific content through the LeapSearch browser, parents know that their kids are protected from any unsuitable online content. Adults can choose from apps, games and ebooks to enhance their children’s learning experiences.
The home screen can be customised in exactly the way a child likes it and can be enhanced with extra content as they get older. A director of LeapFrog’s learning team, Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos said “Part of addressing the needs of a growing child includes providing educational content that continues to inspire a love of learning. With the LeapFrog Epic tablet, we expanded the learning and personalization in our tablet offering, while also offering parents the ability to monitor and customise their child’s experience.”
