Based in London, A Girl for All Time is an online only retail website for an idea that was developed in 2009 in response to a gap in the market for intelligent role-play toys for girls 8+. Developed with a creative team drawn from the world of British film-making and fashion, these dolls have been thoughtfully crafted to reflect the concerns of today's girl: friendships, fashion, fitting in and family. Each doll in A Girl for All Time features in a series of novels set in the most thrilling times in English history.
Alongside the novels are beautifully crafted customizable keepsake books that bring the world of the dolls and novels to life with themed activities and adventures. The dolls are crafted using a combination of traditional hand-sculpting methods and the latest in machine technology to create a doll that looks like fine porcelain, but is in fact durable vinyl.
The historically inspired costumes have been painstakingly researched and then re-interpreted to appeal to today's fashion-conscious girls. The luxurious velvets, silk-taffetas and extravagant trims appeal to children as well as collectors. A Girl for All Time offers a unique world of imaginative play that encourages creativity and individuality. Matilda, 'Your Tudor Girl' is the first doll in the series which will be expanded to include characters from other historical periods.

The doll arrived exactly when they said it would and looked even better than in the pictures. My daughter (10) is delighted with Matilda. It is so wonderful to see her playing happily with such a lovely toy.

This is one of the most beautiful dolls that I have ever seen. She is well made with exquisite details. Her face has the most soulful expression. Her clothes are very well made, rich in details and accurate to the time period. Her hair is long and soft, almost like human hair.
