It must be equally flattering and annoying to be constantly referred to as "the next Justin Bieber". I don't suppose Cody Simpson minds though - he's got a dedicated legion of fans clamouring for every one of his new releases - and that's not just his songs.
Fans have been going crazy ever since they heard about a Cody Simpson doll which is only available on pre-release from Toys 'R' Us in the States. Unfortunately there is no word yet of when this and other related merchandise will hit UK shores.
There are two Cody Simpson dolls to choose from: one sees him in a denim jacket and blacks trousers; the other in a white t-shirt and khaki slacks. Both are 11.5 inch tall.
The doll makers are hoping that Cody's not going to follow in Bieber's footsteps when it comes to getting a haircut. The dolls for this Australian teen sensation both show him with his trademark side-swept cut - the kind you'll find yourself surrounded by if you spend any time in a shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon.
Each doll comes with a lanyard and a collectible guitar pick charm too. They are produced by The Wish Factory Inc, a company that describes itself as being a US-based trendsetter in the toy licensing and entertainment industry.
