Often known as The Garden of England, because of its abundance of hop growing and apple orchards, Kent is probably best known for the famous White Cliffs of Dover. The port of Dover is the closest Channel crossing to France, and much of England’s exports and imports travel through here. Several other important towns such as Sevenoaks, Maidstone, and Tonbridge Wells all have interesting shopping centres with a good choice of toy shops, as well as all the usual multiple groups.
The northern area of Kent is largely industrialised, with companies involved in cement making, brick making, shipbuilding, papermaking and oil refining. The road and rail links are excellent, and many people who live here will commute to London on a daily basis. There are plenty of toy shops to choose from in Kent as a whole, and a visit to any of the towns will enable a buyer to find almost any toy they want.
