Whilst travelling to Peru in 2003 on a humanitarian mission, Adrien and Fabien - the creators of the toy brand Ludeki - encountered various associations of craftsmen and women who had “gold” in their hands but no demand to attend.
After their return to France, they decided to create a game about coffee and Fair Trade. It was called The Negocio and was intended for use as a tool to raise public awareness of social entrepreneurships. With this game, they received various rewards for their project of gathering the know-how of the South Peru craftsmen (for artisanal items of their game) and know-how of the North (for the printing material), while educating people and having fun. They decided to make it a business a few thousand games later by creating a second game for children (The Negocito) and a third (Chocojusto) for even smaller children. With these three games, they created the brand Ludeki and put 100% of their time to make Ludeki grow.
All the artisanal items of the Ludeki games are made by craftsmen in Peru using green materials such as organic coffee and ink, wool sheep, llama whole, fruit seeds and wood. The paper, board and ink used by the printing process in France or Belgium are chosen with care to fulfill the criteria of Ludeki.
