Originally the centre of the Cornish copper and tin mining industry, Camborne is in the process of a very large regeneration scheme that aims to increase jobs and wages for its residents. The town however, remains a popular destination amongst shoppers, with Trelowarren Steet being home to many of Camborne's best shops, including a terrific model shop.
Known as Kernow Model Railway Centre, it sells a fantastic selection of construction models and almost every item in the Hornby Railways catalogue. Customers can also find many other specialist items in a variety of scales from other suppliers, with a lot of the stock available online through their comprehensive website.
